President: Richard E. Hronek Ed.D.


Rich has extensive experience in all venues of education including public, parochial and charter schools. His expertise ranges from classroom teacher to superintendent and founder/developer of charter schools. His leadership experience perspective bridges small schools to managing hundreds of employees in a state wide school network. He has practical expertise in organizational leadership, teaching and instructional strategies, creating educational collaborations, building partnerships, policy development and enhancing educational innovation.

As a school developer and director, he has been responsible for his charter schools achieving ODE Excellent ratings for 6 years.


He has developed educational programs for traditional, special education and gifted students and serves on the leadership faculty for state and national organizations.

As a school developer and director, he has been responsible for achieving 6 years of Excellent ratings from the Ohio Department of Education for two charter schools and is a co-founder of Menlo Park Academy, Ohio’s only charter school for gifted students.

Hronek earned his Bachelor in Education at Kent State University and both his Master’s and Doctorate from the University of Akron. He is an adjunct at Ashland University, a Fellow of the Center for Creative Leadership, and a member of the leadership faculty for the Sigma Chi Fraternity.


He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Ohio Association of Public Charter Schools (OAPCS), Ohio Association for Gifted Students (OAGS), and Phi Delta Theta.
